I'm really getting into this wishlist thing:).

So I've decided that my next new cell phone is going to be a snazzy blackberry 8300 curve. I've checked out all the phones in the span of attention I had (lol:P) and this one seems perfect for me. I can do all my internet related stuff, listen to music, and even use is as a wireless modem for my laptop..sweet! And on www.newegg.com I can get it for $99.00 if I set up with At&t for 2 years. Their plans are pretty ok and I definitely need a new carrier..So the plan is November when this year contract is over - now if some stroke of good fortune lets me have it sooner - o yes, I will gladly take it:P...
And then the Macbook! I need a new laptop something serious and I've fallen in love with Macs sooo...Macbook is officially on the wishlist:).
This I got in my inbox and I felt so in tune with these Ten Keys that I wanted to remember them:)

From Dream Manifesto
By Deepak Chopra in Happiness on July 20th, 2007 / No Comments
1. Listen to your body’s wisdom, which expresses itself through signals of comfort and discomfort. When choosing a certain behavior, ask your body, “How do you feel about this?” If your body sends a signal of physical or emotional distress, watch out. If your body sends a signal of comfort and eagerness, proceed.
2. Live in the present, for it is the only moment you have. Keep your attention on what is here and now; look for the fullness in every moment. Accept what comes to you totally and completely so that you can appreciate it, learn from it, and then let it go. The present is as it should be. It reflects infinite laws of Nature that have brought you this exact thought, this exact physical response. This moment is as it is because the universe is as it is. Don’t struggle against the infinite scheme of things; instead, be at one with it.
3. Take time to be silent, to meditate, to quiet the internal dialogue. In moments of silence, realize that you are re-contacting your source of pure awareness. Pay attention to your inner life so that you can be guided by intuition rather than externally imposed interpretations of what is or isn’t good for you.
4. Relinquish your need for external approval. You alone are the judge of your worth, and your goal is to discover infinite worth in yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks. There is great freedom in this realization.
5. When you find yourself reacting with anger or opposition to any person or circumstance, realize that you are only struggling with yourself. Putting up resistance is the response of defenses created by old hurts. When you relinquish this anger, you will be healing yourself and cooperating with the flow of the universe.
6. Know that the world “out there” reflects your reality “in here”. The people you react to most strongly, whether with love or hate, are projections of your inner world. What you most hate is what you most deny in yourself. What you most love is what you most wish for in yourself. Use the mirror of relationships to guide your evolution. The goal is total self-knowledge. When you achieve that, what you most want will automatically be there, and what you most dislike will disappear.
7. Shed the burden of judgment - you will feel much lighter. Judgment imposes right and wrong on situations that just are. Everything can be understood and forgiven, but when you judge, you cut off understanding and shut down the process of learning to love. In judging others, you reflect your lack of self-acceptance. Remember that every person you forgive adds to your self-love.
8. Don’t contaminate your body with toxins, either through food, drink, or toxic emotions. Your body is more than a life-support system. It is the vehicle that will carry you on the journey of your evolution. The health of every cell directly contributes to your state of well being, because every cell is a point of awareness within the field of awareness that is you.
9. Replace fear-motivated behavior with love-motivated behavior. Fear is the product of memory, which dwells in the past. Remembering what hurt us before, we direct our energies toward making certain that an old hurt will not repeat itself. But trying to impose the past on the present will never wipe out the threat of being hurt. That happens only when you find the security of your own being, which is love. Motivated by the truth inside you, you can face any threat because your inner strength is invulnerable to fear.
10. Understand that the physical world is just a mirror of a deeper intelligence. Intelligence is the invisible organizer of all matter and energy, and since a portion of this intelligence resides in you, you share in the organizing power of the cosmos. Because you are inseparably linked to everything, you cannot afford to foul the planet’s air and water. But at a deeper level, you cannot afford to live with a toxic mind, because every thought makes an impression on the whole field of intelligence. Living in balance and purity is the highest good for you and the Earth.
Another wishlist item!
I happened upon this artist on myspace. He has this very mmm "attention getting" video geared towards the misdirected youth of our times and that got me checking out his website and listening to his music. It reminds me of the type of hip hop I love - in fact it is the type of hip hop I love, lol. One of his songs spoke so well to me that I'm an instant fan and now I want his CD lol. So on the list it goes!
Bomani's CD: http://cdbaby.com/cd/bomanidmitearmah1
This one isn't expensive at all but I'm budgeting tightly right now so it's a purchase for at least next month:).
His website is www.notarapper.com . if you were at all into music by Tribe called quest, De La Soul, The Roots, Goodie Mobb, Pharcyde..you might really enjoy this kat:).
I saw this on dailyOM.com 's gift of the week set. It's so beautiful - a Chakra necklace! It's definitely on my wishlist. I can't wait to have it one of these days:)...

Some very helpful woman posted this on a Bellaonline.com forum (I'm the wellness editor over there) and since I always like gathering this kind of info, I figured to grab it. I guess that will be another use for vox - a place to put all the random things I find of interest here on the great net:P.

If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Ok well in my fantasy world:P
Then perhaps pizza and peanut m and m's...good thing I'm not restricted to 3 foods huh, lol:).
Anyhoo, today I used a peachy color for the inside of my eye to the middle and a brown-gold color for the middle to the outside. I used my Smoked Coal shimmer as my liner just at the top, applying it heavier in the middle to bring my eyes out.
I didn't get a chance to put any undereye concealer on and it's noticeable lol, but I really wanted to show you all how the colors blended together. I really love the colors in this set so I'll try to post some more color combos with it.
For my cheeks I ventured into pink and used my High Life just on my apples. On my lips I used the Body Shop's Gold Shimmer lipstick - it's one of my favorites:).

In other news, I got a job offer here in Durham at a really quaint spa - I think I will like it:). I've been checking out NC to see if I like the area and I'm happy to say that I'm finding that I like it - I think I can see a life for myself here:). Everything has been working out nicely so far and if i can find a nice living arrangment, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for it:).
Why do you live where you live?
Submitted by memtony.
- Well, I live in LR mostly because I needed a change from Chicago and a chance to regroup:). I'm definitely getting much more stableso LR has been what I hoped it would be. And now I'm ready to move again:).
My application was really simple - just Slice on the inner to middle of my eyelid, then Drink Deep from the middle out. I find that my fingers are best at blending the outside portion of shadow into a nice hazy fadeout.
I used my thin blending brush to blend the Slice in the Drink Deep right in the middle. At the bottom, closest to my lash line, I blended the Drink Deep into the Slice, just to build a dimensional look. I also brought just a little of Drink Deep into my creaseand blended it into the Slice below it for continuity.
I used a Wet and Wild eye pencil in a smoked grey for my liner becuz I was in a hurry :P and a MAC dark brown mascara.
For my cheeks, I used my tried and true Coral Cool just on my apples and on my lips my favorite Palladio Crystal glaze herbal lipgloss:).
What board game are you really good at? Really bad at?
I'm eally good at SCRABBLE!! Love that game:)...Hmm, I'm really bad at Battleship - it takes me a minute to get good with the strategizing:-D...
Been traveling all morning and now I'm in North Carolina checking out job prospects for a week or so:). Hope to post pretty pictures soon!
